2006 Machinima Fest Announced
Short post today - we've announced the 2006 Machinima Festival, taking place at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York, during the weekend of November 4-5, 2006, with the festival submission deadline set for Friday, Sept. 22nd, 2006. The full fest site will launch next week.

Are there going to be any new catagories\awards this year?
Thus it begins....
Yes, there are two new awards this year - Best Cinematography and Best Voice-Acting. Additionally, we've split the Virtual Performance award into Puppeteering and Custom Animation. More details to follow on the fest site next week.
No way I'm going to finish my own film in time for this year's deadline, but I'll see if I can get some plane tickets out for the festivities. :)
Maybe I can at least bring along a little teaser material to show folks what I'm working on!
