CBS Evening News covers Machinima

Quick post about a quick segment:

The CBS News Evening News broadcast a small,yet good, piece about Machinima last evening (Sunday, August 27th) with cameos by some favorite Machinima clips - including Fette's Vette, Game:On, A Few Good G-Men, and the UT2004-powered, "Who's on First." Additionally, April Hoffman gets in some screen time - both on-camera as well a clip from her The Awakening series. Yours truly is there for a blip as well.

Metaverse Meet-up tonight at Eyebeam

Jerry "noone has as cool a job as him" Paffendorf sends word that there will be a gathering about everything Metaversey (think New Jersey, only more real) tonight at Eyebeam in NYC. Titled "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the Metaverse but Were Too Afraid To Ask" the discussion will include such folks as Paul Hemp, Sibley Verbeck, Tony Parisi, Marc Wallace and Mr. Paffendorf himself. Machinima might make its way into the conversation at some point, but there are clearly larger items to tackle first (can my SL ave play with your Horde?). Space is limited, but if you have a hankerin' for some virtual gab and grub, shoot on over to Jerry's blog and flag him down for an invite. I'm hoping to make there myself.
